Stress Reduction for Caregivers through Mindfulness with Ann Biese

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a therapeutic practice designed to help individuals manage stress, anxiety, pain, and more through techniques like yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, and journaling. As a trauma-informed yoga and meditation therapist, Ann Biese brings this transformative practice to Love Bus caregivers, offering them tools to build resilience, cultivate greater awareness of the present moment, and develop effective coping skills for everyday challenges. Through her sessions, caregivers learn the six core attitudes of mindfulness: a beginner’s mind, nonjudging, patience, trust, acceptance, and letting go. Studies show that MBSR can slow the body’s stress responses, strengthen the connection between the thinking and emotional brain, and promote a sense of control and calm. Ann’s compassionate approach helps caregivers feel supported and empowered as they navigate their journeys. For more information about Ann and her work, visit annbiese.com.
