Kim Dowling
1. What do you do professionally?
I am a 500-hour trained yoga instructor teaching Yoga and Cancer classes through Yoga in Action. I have 15 years of experience working as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant.

2. What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy being out in nature with my husband, 3 teenage children, and my dog, Luna.

3. How did you get involved with Love Bus?
I am a stage 4 cancer survivor and have been in active treatment since 2010. Complementary medicine, yoga, and meditation have been integral in my healing journey, and I was introduced to Love Bus through my friend and fellow yoga teacher - and current board member - Ann Biese.

4. What’s your favorite integrative therapy?
My passion is combining my medical knowledge with yoga and meditation to share the healing benefits of yoga with people of any ability and health status.

Brooke Elwell
1. What do you do professionally?
I am a Physician Assistant at Riverside Pediatrics.

2. What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy needlepointing, embroidery, outdoor cycling, and going to the beach with my husband and two kids!

3. How did you get involved with Love Bus?
After hearing about Lucy’s Love Bus, I was immediately interested in participating– my son was treated for cancer at Dana Farber (Jimmy Fund). He is thriving now, and the Love Bus mission is still so important to me. My mother was also one of Lucy’s teachers!

4. What’s your favorite integrative therapy?
My favorite integrative therapy is horseback riding.

Courtney Lucey
1. What do you do professionally?
I work as a Primary Care Physician Assistant for Beth Israel Lahey in Newburyport. I have worked as a PA for 18 years in various roles, including ER/orthopedics/hospitalist until I found my passion for primary care in 2012.

2. What do you like to do in your free time?
I love outdoor activities like hiking, biking, skiing, and surfing with my family. I also play indoor soccer and used to coach my kids' teams. I enjoy volunteering for my community and medical volunteering at the Boston Marathon.

3. How did you get involved with Love Bus?
Last year Kim, a fellow new board member, invited a group of us to attend the First Annual Butterfly Benefit. This benefit was such a fun event to attend for an incredible cause. As I was looking for a new place to volunteer, and I have a background in helping to organize fundraising events, I thought it would be fun to put my next efforts into Love Bus.

4. What’s your favorite integrative therapy?
I love the idea of yoga with integrative meditation therapy; I feel that the mind-body connection is essential with overall healing and well-being.

Mary McNamara
1. What do you do professionally?
I work as an Account Executive at Athenahealth, a software & services company that enables healthcare organizations to expand access of care for their patients.

2. What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy traveling to new places, teaching & practicing yoga, hitting the links, sunrise beach walks, training for road races, and visiting my nephews & nieces all over the country.

3. How did you get involved with Love Bus?
Love Bus' mission hits very close to my family, so when I heard about the organization through yoga teacher and former board member Sarah Oleson, I asked how I could get more involved!

4. What’s your favorite integrative therapy?
Art therapy is special to me because I know how integral it was to my mom's care. I am also a big proponent of anything that gets your body moving, no matter how big or small the movement, and incorporates play. We all can remember to play more, and play tends to lead to laughter, and who doesn't want that?!
